For nectarines and apricots, we use a weight-based grading system that is easily comparable to the sizes used for fruits like apples or pears, making it more understandable for our customers:
Small Sizes
Sizes between 35 and 48. Ideal for local markets or consumers looking for smaller, more manageable fruit portions. These fruits are comparable to size 150 apples, popular in markets where compact and convenient presentation is key.
Medium Sizes
Sizes between 24 and 35. The most commercialized size due to its balance between weight and presentation. These fruits are equivalent to size 100 apples or size 70 pears, which dominate the market for their adaptability for both direct consumption and culinary use.
Large Sizes
Sizes between 12 and 24. Preferred in premium markets where larger fruit with greater visual impact is desired. These impressive pieces are comparable to size 80 apples or size 60 pears, known for being high-quality fruits for the most demanding consumers.
